KLIM® CREAMY SPINACH

INGREDIENTS

450 grams raw spinach, chopped
70 grams Butter, Without Salt
1/4 teaspoon Spices, garlic powder
30 grams Cake Flour
1 Unit Onions, Raw
5 tablespoons NESTLÈ Klim Full Cream Instant Milk Powder
1/4 teaspoon Spices, Pepper, Red Or Cayenne
1 pinch Salt, Table
1/4 teaspoon Spices, nutmeg, ground
1/4 teaspoon Spices, Pepper, Black

METHOD

Cook the spinach in a pot of boiling water for one minute, drain, and then immerse in a cold-water bath to stop the cooking process and preserve the colour. Drain well and squeeze out any excess water from the spinach and set aside in a colander.
Melt the butter in a pan, over medium heat. Add the onion and cook for 2-3 minutes, until transparent. Add the garlic and cook for 1 minute.
Whisk in the flour and cook for 2-3 minutes. Stir in the Nestlé KLIM Full Cream Instant Milk Powder mixture, whisking constantly, and cook for 3-4 minutes, until the sauce thickens.
Add the cooked spinach to the creamy sauce, nutmeg and cayenne pepper. Cook for 1-2 minutes and season well with salt and pepper.
Serve as is, or top with some grated Parmesan cheese and a squeeze of fresh lemon.
