No Bake Milk Tart Recipe

Nothing beats a traditional milk tart at teatime.

INGREDIENTS

150g Tennis Biscuits
80g Melted Butter
4 Cups (1L) Milk
1 tsp (5ml) Cinnamon
1 Can (385g) NESTLÉ Full Cream Sweetened Condensed Milk
3 Eggs
3 Tbsp (45ml) Cake Flour

METHOD

Break the Tennis biscuits into fine crumbs by hand or by using a food processor. Mix in the melted butter until well combined. TIP: You can make the crust the hours before, bake and leave out until ready to be used.
Place the mixture into a tart dish or spring form pan and press it into the base so that the bottom of the dish or pan is evenly covered. TIP: Make sure to press the mixture into all corners of your dish!
In another pan, heat the milk and butter over medium heat. Bring to the boil, then reduce the heat and simmer for 4-5 minutes.
In a separate bowl whisk the remaining ingredients - NESTLÉ Full Cream Sweetened Condensed Milk, eggs, cake flour and cinnamon.
Carefully pour the hot milk and butter combination over the egg mixture and mix until thoroughly combined. Return the mixture to the pan and simmer for 3-4 minutes on low heat, or until it thickens.
Pour the mixture into the prepared pan and allow to set in the fridge for at least 2 hours. TIP: It is best to make this Milk Tart the day before and allow it to fully set and cool in the fridge overnight. This will allow the flavours to enhance overnight.
And for a truly indulgent moment, dust with a generous amount of cinnamon and serve with a rich cup of coffee from the NESCAFÉ GOLD range.
To level up this delicious dessert, try using real butter. Both in the crust and milky filling, real butter will give it a rich flavour.
What will really set this tart apart from the rest is the liberal use of cinnamon – it enhances the creamy filling and gives it a distinctive, warm and spicy-sweet kick.
